Incredible bravery prevailed as local volunteer fire departments battled against roaring winds exceeding 80 miles per hour to contain a woods fire. Camp Creek, Sunnyside, Tusculum, Cedar Creek, and South Greene Volunteer Fire Departments swiftly responded to the Camp Creek area just before 1am. Despite fierce gusts, responders valiantly fought for nearly an hour to prevent the fire from spreading deeper into the woods. Their heroic efforts saved lives and property.
