Substance Abuse Services Getting Boost

The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is offering a new behavioral health scholarship program, providing up to $15,000 per academic year for eligible students pursuing master’s degrees in related fields. In exchange for tuition support, students must commit to working for a public behavioral health provider for an equivalent period. This initiative aims to address workforce needs and encourage students to embark on fulfilling careers in mental health and substance use treatment.
