Tennessee Man Pleads Guilty In Animal Abuse Case

A Tennessee man who was accused of abandoning animals, including dogs, turtles, rabbits, rodents, and snakes… and allowing them to starve… is headed to jail. 35 year old Just Glen Hilton of Rogersville, pled guilty in Hawkins County Court to 5 counts of animal cruelty. Hilton was then sentenced to 14 days in jail, followed by 11 months and 29 days of probation, $2,725 in fines and fees, and 96 hours of community service. He also must make restitution to the Hawkins County Humane Society. The surviving animals were also forfeited to the Humane Society which has placed them up for adoption.
