A fisherman on Norris Lake, north of Knoxville, made an unexpected catch on Monday. Wildlife Officers responded to a call reporting the capture of an alligator near Dotson Creek. The gator was later transferred to a zoo in Anderson County, as it’s illegal to possess alligators in Tennessee. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is now emphasizing the dangers of releasing exotic species into the wild.
