In Johnson City, there is some concern about the city moving ahead with a plan to annex and develop the vacant land beside Ridgeview Elementary.
The Keebler annexation project was approved in a first reading at the Johnson City Commission’s Tuesday meeting. If it happens, it would add hundreds of units to a 135-acre property near Suncrest Drive. But some neighbors in that area want nothing of it, citing concerns about the impact the new homes will have on traffic. The next public hearing is scheduled for December 15.
