Severe Weather Warnings

Severe weather hit our area yesterday. Just after 11:30am Wednesday, a severe thunderstorm was raging over Greeneville, moving east at 30 mph. It brought with it golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. There was also a lot of lightning and heavy rains, prompting flood alerts. One person in Gaston County was killed after a tree fell on a vehicle. A Flood Watch remained in effect for our local area through this morning, and Greene County is under an ENHANCED RISK for Severe Weather all day today.
