Bikers Stop By On Way To D.C.

It’s calle the Run for the Wall. It was started in 1989, and except in 2020 and 2021, ever increasing numbers of motorcyclists have been participating in it, traveling across the country to remember prisoners of war and those missing in action. More than 150 of them rolled through Greene County earlier this week… on Wednesday. The bikers stopped to refuel here, before they continued on to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. During Wednesday’s stop at the Davy Crockett Travel Center, General Manager Darrell Ogg donated about 450 gallons of gas for the riders and their support vehicles. They will reach D.C. sometime today, and stay until Sunday.
