Emergency crews rescued a female hiker with an injured ankle near Pete’s Branch Falls Sunday afternoon. Responders used off-road vehicles and hiked rugged terrain to reach her, then carried her out in a Stokes basket. The three-hour rescue was complicated by a passing storm.
