FEMA has so far, approved over $15 million in assistance for more than 4,300 households in Tennessee impacted by Hurricane Helene. The funding is evenly divided between housing aid and other essential needs. The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance and low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration is December 2nd. The Greene County Disaster Recovery Center is open Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
