Emergency crews responded to a hazardous chemical spill Monday at the John Deere facility on Hal Henard Road in Greeneville. Roughly 250 gallons of sodium hydroxide leaked from a punctured container on a docked trailer around 11:15 a.m. Multiple agencies, including Hazmat and state environmental teams, worked to contain the spill. No injuries were reported, and the site was declared safe after cleanup.
