Today is a “Day of Hope” in Greene County and across Tennessee. In fact, today is being celebrated statewide as Tennessee’s Day of Hope. According to the Tennessee Department of Mental Health And Substance Abuse Services, hope of a better tomorrow is a source of strength and motivation to continue the work to overcome the hurdles in some people’s lives or support the needs of a loved one, friend, or neighbor. This year is the third annual Day of Hope. On Thursday, Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison addressed Greene County Recovery Court participants in recognition of the Day of Hope. Morrison and the Greene County Commission also issued a proclamation proclaiming today as a local “Day of Hope.”
