In Johnson City, police arrested a man they are calling a car thief after they cornered him on a dead-end road. After officers responded to a call from West Main Street about a suspicious man in a vehicle that had previously been reported stolen, they attempted to stop the driver, but he refused to pull over. Deputies say Hector Flores continued onto Garden Drive, a dead-end road, where he was then cornered and taken into custody. Flores has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and felony evading.
