A mobile home and a nearby shed on Weems Chapel Road were destroyed by fire Sunday night. Crews from several Greene County volunteer fire departments responded around 7:30 p.m. to find the mobile home fully engulfed and flames spreading to the shed. The homeowners made it out safely. Greene County EMS, the sheriff’s department and Greeneville Energy Authority also assisted. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
