Tusculum’s Board of Mayor and Commissioners approved the new $1.2 million fiscal year budget Monday, despite Commissioner Barbara Britton’s concerns over police staffing. The budget does not include funding for an additional officer, which Chief Danny Greene requested. Mayor Alan Corley said he wants to see another balanced budget before adding staff. Plans for a new City Hall remain under discussion, with potential USDA grants and low-interest loans available.
