Big Lots may not be closing its doors after all. The company, which filed for bankruptcy in the fall, has reached a deal to be sold to Gordon Brothers Retail Partners. Under the new agreement, Variety Wholesalers Inc. will acquire 200 to 400 Big Lots stores, keeping them open under the Big Lots brand. While bankruptcy proceedings are ongoing, it remains unclear which locations will stay open. The deal follows a previous agreement with Nexus Capital Management that fell through.
