Chuckey Utility District Obtains Loan To Improve Water Infrastructure

The Chuckey Utility District has received a $1.83 million loan to improve water infrastructure. The loan will fund waterline extensions and comes from the state’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. The loan carries a 1.87% interest rate over 20 years, with nearly half of it forgiven. The total funds were part of $31.7 million in loans approved by the Tennessee Local Development Authority.
