Greeneville Energy Rate Hike On The Way

Starting October 1st, Greeneville Energy Authority will implement a 1.5% rate increase, raising the average residential bill by about $2.45. This adjustment follows a 5.25% increase approved by the Tennessee Valley Authority, leading to a combined monthly increase of approximately $6.80. The rate hike is the fourth consecutive annual increase. Residential access charges will also rise by $2 per month, while small businesses will see a similar increase.
