Greeneville Approves Funding for Library Roof Repairs
The Greeneville City Council has approved nearly $69,000 as the city’s share of roof repairs at the Greeneville-Greene County Library. The total contract is about $138,000. The Greene County Commission will consider funding the remaining half Monday. Work should be completed by winter.

A Greene County man suffered serious injuries in an ATV crash early Saturday on Rabbit Gap Road. Tyler Stroud’s family says he was thrown from the side-by-side before it landed on him. Highlands Air Rescue flew Stroud to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment.

A driver escaped serious injury Tuesday after his car struck the rear of a turning tractor-trailer on West Andrew Johnson Highway. The impact nearly sheared off the car’s roof. The driver was walking when emergency crews arrived but was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
