County Committee Backs Library Roof Funding
The Greene County Budget and Finance Committee has agreed to fund half of a new roof for the Greeneville Greene County Public Library. The lowest bid is 138 thousand dollars. County funding depends on Greeneville approving the other half at its September 15 meeting.

A Greene County grand jury has indicted David Saylor on an aggravated robbery charge. Police say Saylor pointed a shotgun at a clerk at Forrest Hills Corner Market in June and fled with 180 dollars. Investigators later recovered a firearm and other evidence during a search of his home.
