Greene County Hay Bale Trail Returns
Registration is open for the 2026 Greene County Hay Bale Trail. Businesses, schools, organizations, families and individuals may create a display. The trail will run from October 13th through November 13th. Registration information is available through the Greene County Partnership.

The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in Greene County July 28th. The tornado had estimated winds of 95 miles per hour and traveled about one-and-a-half miles before entering North Carolina. No structures were damaged.
