Tusculum University Welcomes Students Back To Campus
Tusculum University welcomed students back to campus Thursday for move-in day. New students are taking part in Pioneer WOW activities through the weekend, including orientation sessions and campus events designed to help them get settled. Classes at Tusculum begin Monday.

Greene County-Greeneville EMS will purchase a new ambulance using a 305-thousand-dollar federal grant. The ambulance costs about 320-thousand dollars, with EMS covering the remaining cost. The agency has also added new ventilators, radios, heart monitors and other equipment through county funding.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday for the new Greene County Health Department on Edens Road in Tusculum. The more than six-million-dollar, 12,000-square-foot facility opened last month and replaces the department’s former Greeneville location. It includes 10 exam rooms, dental services, lab space and telemedicine capabilities.

A Greeneville woman faces charges after police say she assaulted three officers during a welfare check Wednesday afternoon. Danielle D. Kimery allegedly struck and kicked officers as they tried to take her into custody at a West Sevier Heights apartment. She is charged with three counts of assault on a first responder and resisting arrest.
