Tusculum Plans 911 Anniversary Ceremony
Tusculum University and the Greeneville Flyboys will hold a September 11th ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The event begins at 8 a.m. at Pioneer Park and will include remarks, a moment of silence and a 2,200-step stair climb honoring first responders. Admission is free.

A massive oak tree crashed onto a Hixson home during Tuesday night’s storms, ripping shingles from the roof and tearing away gutters. The homeowners say the tree, estimated to be up to 200 years old, fell onto their front porch. No injuries were reported.
