Greene County 911 Dispatch Center To Be Named For Gary Holt
The Greene County 911 Dispatch Center will be named for longtime board member Gary Holt. The 911 Board voted unanimously Tuesday to honor Holt, who served more than two decades, much of that time as chairman. A plaque will be installed during a future dedication ceremony.

A 23 year old Tennessee man has died following a crash in Greene County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Jeffrey Newman was driving on Mount Hebron Road Monday night when his car crossed the center line near Jim Fox Road, left the roadway and struck a tree. Newman later died at a hospital.
