TWRA Reports No Boating Fatalities Over Holiday Weekend

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says there were no boating-related fatalities during the July Fourth holiday enforcement period. Officers reported 11 injury incidents, 16 boating under the influence arrests, and numerous citations, while statewide boating deaths this year remain lower than at the same point last year.

Mosheim Approves Yoder’s Strip Mall Development

The Mosheim Planning Commission has approved plans for a new 9,000 square-foot strip mall next to Yoder’s Country Market on West Andrew Johnson Highway. The development will include five retail spaces, with Auntie Ruth’s Doughnuts and a Mountain View Furniture showroom already committed. Construction is expected to begin soon.
