Washington County Schools Superintendent Jerry Boyd says he plans to retire in June of 2027. Boyd informed the school board months ago to give members time to search for a replacement as the district begins planning for its next superintendent.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says a suspect they were seeking, Michael Marrison, has been found dead after a multi-agency search in Hawkins County. Marrison had been added to the TBI’s Most Wanted list and faced charges involving a minor. Authorities did not release details about how or where he was found.

A new MoneyLion report says three Tennessee cities rank among the nation’s most overpriced housing markets. Kingsport ranked 16th, Knoxville 34th and Chattanooga 40th based on the gap between home values and listing prices. Lexington, Kentucky also made the list.
