Greene County Fair Attendance Highest In Two Decades
The 75th edition of the Greene County Fair wrapped up Saturday night with its highest attendance in two decades. 33,912 people passed through the fairgrounds gates over the six day run, around 2-thousand more than last year.

A log cabin home on Bernard Road in northern Greene County was destroyed by fire late Friday morning. The homeowners and their dog were attending a funeral when the fire was reported around 11:30am. One firefighter suffered heat exhaustion and was treated at the scene. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
