More Funding For Flood Repairs

The Greene County Commission has officially accepted $17.6 million in HEAL Program funds to assist with flood damage repairs. The funds, provided by TEMA, are a 10-year, zero-interest loan. An amendment approved by commissioners earmarks any excess funds for local bridge and road repairs, with an additional $8.2 million allocated for this purpose.

Fifty-one Greene County students graduated from Walters State Community College in the fall 2024 commencement ceremonies. The graduates, who earned degrees and certificates in various fields, were celebrated during two ceremonies on December 12 at the Morristown campus.
