Chuckey Man Accused of Having Stolen Truck, Meth

47 year old Robert Keith Jenkins of Chuckey is facing several charges after Washington County deputies say they found him with a stolen truck and 17 grams of methamphetamine. Deputies say Jenkins was also accused of shoplifting from a Highway 11-E business. He was jailed on 22 thousand dollars bond.

The Greene County Election Commission has certified results from the August 6 election, making them final. Commissioners reported no problems with the vote tally. Early voting for the November 3 election runs October 14 through October 29 at the Election Commission office. The voter registration deadline is October 5.

A Greeneville man is facing another driving on revoked charge following a hit-and-run crash Sunday evening. Police stopped Timothy J. Ingle after spotting a pickup matching the suspect vehicle near Greeneville Commons. Police say Ingle has nine prior driving on revoked charges dating back to 2019. He was taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
