After the conviction of Tom Cobble, Republican nominee for School Board Member in District 2 on May 1st, the Greene County Election Commission announced that a new nominee must be submitted by June 22 for the August 1 general election ballot. Cobble plead guilty to official misconduct after resigning from his position on the Greene County School board and after being under investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
