On Saturday, emergency crews rescued a 70-year-old hiker who suffered ankle and hip injuries near Margarette Falls. The hiker fell about 1.5 miles from the trailhead. Volunteers from the Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad, Camp Creek, and Tusculum Fire Departments, along with deputies and EMS, reached the injured hiker around 4 PM and transported her to an awaiting ambulance by 6 PM. She was then taken to the hospital for treatment. There has been no update on her condition.
